With over a decade of experience in counseling, Dr. Stacey Gerhart is passionate about creating a safe space where individuals feel heard and supported as they navigate personal struggles, relationship challenges, or major life transitions. Stacey is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and Program Development from Loma Linda University.

Her background includes extensive work in higher education, serving as Director of Student Wellness, where she built a mental health program, led wellness initiatives, and worked directly with students to enhance their emotional well-being. Stacey has been an adjunct professor for several years, teaching courses in both graduate and undergraduate programs, both in person and online.

In addition to her counseling practice, Stacey is a dynamic speaker and experienced educator. She has led numerous seminars, workshops, and trainings on topics such as emotional intelligence, career development, leadership, interpersonal relationships, and mental health. With years of public speaking experience, she has a unique ability to engage audiences, making complex psychological concepts accessible and practical. Whether presenting to students, professionals, or community groups, Stacey creates interactive and impactful experiences that inspire growth and transformation.

Her clinical experience includes working with individuals, couples, and families struggling with a diverse range of challenges. She understands that everyone's journey is unique and tailors her approach to meet each client's specific needs.  Using evidence-based approaches, Stacey helps clients develop emotional intelligence, improve communication, and break free from unhelpful patterns.

Stacey is passionate about working with high-achieving individuals who excel in their professional lives but struggle with stress, emotional disconnection, or relationship challenges. She understands the unique pressures that come with success and helps clients use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to develop emotional wisdom, improve communication, and create a more balanced, fulfilling life. Through a supportive and practical approach, Stacey empowers high performers to move beyond just "pushing through" and instead cultivate deeper self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful connections.

Stacey’s approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique journey, integrating evidence-based treatments to support lasting growth and healing. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, career transitions, or relationship challenges, Stacey provides a safe and supportive space to explore, heal, and grow.

Values

  • Creating a genuine and honest therapeutic relationship is my goal.  In doing this, it fosters trust, allows for deeper self-awareness, and empowers clients to embrace their emotions and experiences.

  • I value offering a counseling space that is non-judgmental, which aids in increasing self-acceptance. This allows individuals to embrace their strengths and flaws without self-judgment, fostering healing, resilience, and personal growth.

  • I believe in the value that emotional intelligence has on our ability to be authentic, to build insight, and to foster deeper connections in our lives.

  • The client is the expert in their life.  I come alongside, helping promote a safe space for people to feel seen, heard, and valued as we work together to build goals toward growth.

  • I consider the whole person and recognize that many factors influence one’s mental health. I see the person systemically, I understanding their concerns within the broader context of their relationships, environment, and the interconnected systems that influence their experiences.

  • I recognize and respect the unique backgrounds, values, and experiences clients have and provide inclusive care.
