Religious Trauma

Religious Trauma.

Spirituality is a deeply personal and often complex journey. For some, it brings connection, meaning, and peace. For others, it can involve confusion, pain, or a sense of loss—especially when shaped by religious trauma, or experiences of spiritual abuse. Whether someone is deconstructing harmful beliefs, redefining their spirituality, or healing from a painful experiences from a faith community, their experiences are valid and worthy of support.

Dr. Stacey provides a neutral, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their spiritual experiences—past and present—at their own pace. As someone experienced in both the pain of religious trauma and the possibilities of spiritual growth, Dr. Stacey supports clients in processing what they've been through, reconnecting with their sense of self, and discovering what spirituality means for them now.

Whether you are reclaiming faith, questioning long-held beliefs, building a new spiritual framework, or simply seeking clarity and peace, therapy offers a powerful opportunity for insight and transformation. Dr. Stacey welcomes clients from all spiritual backgrounds and belief systems.
